We matched on Hinge in 2020, and from that moment, everything changed... including the state of the world.
Despite Covid, we saw each other daily after our first date! We were (and still are) inseparable. Even when we both didnt have cars, Branden rode a bird scooter from Santa Monica to Westwood just to see Madi. After getting Covid and quarantining together, we knew we never wanted it to end.
After a year of dating, Branden had the opportunity to work in hockey down in San Diego for the Gulls. When he shared the idea with Madi, she embraced it with open arms and excitement for this next chapter in our journey. Moving in together for the first time—especially in a brand-new city—was an adventure in itself. San Diego had so much to offer, not just in its beauty but in the incredible people we met and the experiences we shared. Living in Normal Heights with our beloved fur babies, Sunny & Luna, was a dream! Madi explored her career in mental health and Branden began his hockey sales career.
After a couple of years, another opportunity came calling—this time, in the NHL in Orange County. Branden had to relocate from San Diego, Madi, and the kids to chase his dream. 6 months later, Madi was able to follow Branden up to Orange County. As we settled into the new area, Branden had already made a big decision of his own. With the ring in hand, he was ready to ask the big question. And what better place to do it than the city that had been such a huge part of our story?
On January 13, 2024, during a breathtaking sunset at Sunset Cliffs, we got engaged. While we were having this incredible moment, a few feet away, firefighters were rescuing a man who fell off the cliff. He survived. We celebrated with friends and family, soaking in the magic of the place that meant so much to us.
Since then, we’ve been planning an incredible wedding—a day to celebrate our love with all of the people who mean the world to us. We can’t wait to have you join us!
