David and Maggie's story starts on the Experimental Farm in Ottawa, Ontario. Maggie, with a love for baby cows, visits the farm one spring day. As she is admiring the little calves she notices one who seems smaller than the rest. Then some handsome farmer walks in and feeds that one a bottle. Maggie moments later exclaims to a friend. I could marry a farmer.


David and Maggie later connected on an online dating platform, making quick conversation about their interaction at the farm, all while trying to play it pretty cool.


David and Maggie have been dating since March 2019. They have had the opportunity to experience the many adventures of life together such as breweries, concerts, road trips, camping, cottaging, new jobs, new careers and a pandemic.


David has been by Maggie's side through the challenges of long term care, teachers college, new dog ownership, various occasional teaching positions and now a full time gig in Grade 2/3.


Maggie has supported David through his long days on the farm, working on Parliament Hill and David's life long goal of becoming police constable.
