It all started with a simple message on Hinge—Evan recognized a familiar face in one of Marisa’s photos: Allison Lagrone. Having grown up with Allison at Forest Hills Baptist Church, Evan saw the perfect opportunity to introduce himself. And just like that, a connection was made.


Our first date was on August 25, 2023, at an outdoor wine bar on a perfect summer night. What was supposed to be just a casual evening turned into hours of non-stop conversation—we shut the place down and still weren’t ready to say goodnight. Before the night ended, Evan asked Marisa out again for the very next day. From that moment on, our lives quickly became intertwined.


Evan was immediately drawn to Marisa’s quick wit, love for Lord of the Rings, and—above all—her kind and sweet nature. Marisa fell for Evan’s huge heart for the people in his life, his unwavering faith, and the way he always made sure she never doubted herself. Oh, and fun fact: we both share an undeniable love for honey mustard pretzels.


As our relationship grew, we spent time with each other’s families, formed friendships, and began going to church together, realizing that God’s plan for us was already in motion long before we met. Then, on March 16, 2024, Evan pulled off the perfect surprise proposal at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm. Marisa had never said yes so quickly in her life!


Now, we can’t wait to celebrate our big day surrounded by our favorite people. We’re so excited to dance the night away with you all—glow sticks may or may not be involved!
