I have always believed you can find the good in any situation as long as you look hard enough. During the pandemic all of my classes switched to online so I decided to move home in order to be closer to my family. Shortly after this I started working as an intern at Knott Prescription which is where I first met Maui.

That day three things were made abundantly clear to me. The first was that she was absolutely beautiful, I noticed this the moment that she walked through the door. After working and talking for a little while the second became apparent. As stunning as her appearance was she was equally as intelligent. The third became evident when she knocked over my full monster energy drink and covered the medication counting area.....she was clumsy as hell. Since then we have talked about that day and she admitted to being nervous around me and thats how she spilled my drink. I have also admitted to her how that morning I had cut grass and whenever she went on break I asked another one of my coworkers to smell me because I was worried I smelled bad.

After that day Maui and I didn't see each other again for over a year but during all that time I couldn't help but think about her. During the weekend of my graduation I was feeling confident and finally decided to message her. She likes to say she played hard to get but very quickly we arranged a date for when I came home. Our first date is something I will never forget. I drove to Pikeville where we ate, listened to music, and talked until the sun came up. Everything happens for a reason. I may have never met the love of my life if it wasn't for a pandemic, an independent pharmacy, and an energy drink.

Over the last few years Maui has become more and more to me. She is my concert buddy, my secret keeper, my guidance and my best friend. However, the most recent is what I am the proudest of. Maui is now my fiancé and on June 7th she will become my wife. I love this life that we have built and can't wait to spend it with her.
