Maxwell and Kenadie . June 12th, 2024

One evening in June, around 7:00, Kenadie was at her dear friend Julia’s house waiting for their bible study to begin. This study had been going on for a couple of weeks, so she kind-of knew who was going to show up, when all of a sudden, this new guy walked in. With sweat shorts, an old Chevrolet T-shirt, and a baseball cap he strutted on over and plopped down right next to Kenadie. Now, I wish I could say that the rest was history, but there’s unfortunately a longer story to these two.

The following Saturday, the bible study group went hammocking, and guess who just so happened to be there? Max and Kenadie. The entire time they were talking about anything and everything. From music tastes to swing dancing to poking fun at each other there was definitely a connection. After hammocking the group retreated to the Rust’s home for some dinner and more time with each other. Now, if you ask Max he will share this part of the story completely differently then Kenadie. Max will say that he asked a “get-to-know-you question”, and Kenadie will say that Max asked a very intentional question to start an angry riot (however, she might be biased because she led the angry riot). What happened after that night? Nothing, Kenadie actually tried to make Max not like her. She was scared of how fast she caught feelings for him, and didn’t know what to do.

Between the time of the lovebirds meeting and them actually dating, Kenadie got picked up for a date in front of Max, turned him down three times, and gushed about him secretly. They got coffee, “platonic coffee” to be exact, they saw each other at bible study, and talked all the time. Yet, Kenadie would not commit to a date. Max got sick of her avoiding him and decided that enough was enough. He called her and explained his intentions and finally, by some miracle, Kenadie agreed to an official date. They then had the most chaotic week of their life, here’s the breakdown.

July 1st - Finally planned an official first date for July 5th

July 2nd - Max surprised Kenadie with Swig at her work and

they then sat outside until midnight with snow cones and a

very starry sky. After this night together Kenadie was head

over heels. She very boldly sent a video to her friends

sharing how she knows Max is the one for her. They hadn’t

even had a date yet, but she knew.

July 3rd - The lovebirds had a Fourth of July party with their

bible study group. This was the day that the group actually

caught onto their schemes; many things were said. After

the party Max and Ken went to a lookout to watch

fireworks over the valley. It was this night they shared their

first ever kiss.

July 4th - Their mornings were separate, but Max invited

Kenadie to a 4th of July party with a bunch of his friends

and just loved showing her off. They weren’t official but he

introduced her to everyone and never left her side. He

either had his arm around her or was standing within

inches of her. Kenadie never stopped blushing. They then

stayed awake until 5:30 in the morning yapping

incessantly. Discussing interests, hobbies, family drama,

our deepest darkest secrets, etc.

July 5th - Wow. The long awaited official date. They met at

Guadalahonkys for lunch, and spent maybe an hour

together. Max made a very lasting impression after spilling

his Dr. Pepper all over himself, and then the waitress pulled

an amazing comedic bit by bringing him back a sippy cup.

After lunch they went home and took time apart from each

other.

July 6th - The very exhausted future couple took this

saturday to catch up on the High School Musical movies,

and took some much needed rest time after the severe lack

of sleep.

July 7th - The day of all days. After finishing the third High

School Musical Max walked Kenadie to her car, where he

asked her a very important question. The chemistry was

painfully obvious, their feelings for each other rivaled the

love of Utah girls and swig, and they finally admitted it. On

July 7th Maxwell Rhodes Morgan and Kenadie Skye

Jackson became official boyfriend and girlfriend; they

shook on it so it was really official then.

After that amazing night, exactly 161 days later on December 14th, Max asked another very important question, down on one knee. After that evening, the rest was truly history. Those 161 days were full of love and laughter, tears and bickering, apologies and peace. Many ups and downs as every couple experiences. Now their story continues on, and the rest isn’t history, it is the exciting journey ahead of them! These two love deeply and truly, and they love God first which allows them to fully love each other the right way.
