Chris and Megan met in the Fall of 2009 as coworkers in their neighborhood's grocery store. Chris was the "veteran" runner, while Megan was navigating learning the ropes as the new, young cashier. They would often catch each other's eye in passing, but it wasn't until 2010 when their friendship started to bloom. By 2011, feelings for one another started to grow as they shared the love of music and movies. In attempt to keep things professional at work, they've decided to keep their relationship private. Megan would often sneak out of her parent's house to meet Chris late at night.

Their lives took them in different directions in the Fall of 2011. Chris moved to Florida and Megan began her freshman year at Le Moyne. Saying goodbye was one of the hardest things they've ever had to do. They believed things were right between one another, but it just wasn’t the right time. They couldn’t hinder each other from pursuing their dreams.

Although they met other people during their journeys, something always felt like it was missing. They often thought of one another and wondered "what if." A decade later, the two reconnected in January of 2021, both trying to find themselves in the midst of healing. It was then that they decided to finally give it a shot and their lives took a complete 180. Their homes and hearts were full again.

It’s funny, if you ask them how long they’ve been together; They’ll tell you 13 years… I think it’s because they’ve had each other’s heart for that long.
