Back in high school, as juniors rowing for the Cortlandt Community Rowing Association, we first got to know one another during the NY State Rowing Championships weekend in Saratoga, NY. We both had a crush on each other at that time. Surprisingly, this photo captures our early connection, even though we're not front and center! Our mutual interest was definitely growing, even if not entirely obvious just yet. 📷💕

And off we went! That summer, we officially started dating as high school seniors. Despite Meghan attending a public high school and Sebastien pursuing an online education, our daily rendezvous at rowing practice kept us close. As captains of the rowing team, we formed a fantastic partnership. While college decisions loomed, we were determined to stick together. 🚣‍♂️❤️

And then... enter COVID-19! The world flipped, and we couldn't meet like we used to. Despite the odd circumstances during our senior year, Sebastien's destination was the United States Military Academy at West Point, while Meghan was heading to Mount Holyoke College. Reconnecting was challenging, even with outdoor meet-ups and masks. 😷🌍💔

Our freshman year in college was quite an adventure! Sebastien was fully immersed at West Point, while Meghan juggled virtual classes and a part-time job at Panera Bread for the fall semester. We couldn't see each other much due to restrictions, but we clung to hope for brighter days ahead!

Ah, now we're on track! Sophomore year was when things really started to click. Meghan returned to in-person classes at Mount Holyoke, while Sebastien found his groove as a Yearling at West Point. The highlight of our sophomore year? Attending West Point's Yearling Winter Weekend, our very first banquet together! 🎉📚

Junior year was when the real fun began for both of us! We delved deeper into our majors, made new friendships, and explored our faiths. In this photo, we're on our second visit to our favorite spot, The Cloisters—a place that holds special memories for us. 😄

Ringing in Sebastien's firstie year was the long-awaited ring weekend at West Point! Both of us were super pumped for Sebastien to receive his class ring. Little did Meghan know that Sebastien and his parents were planning for Meghan to receive a ring of her own...
