A Little About Us
March 2020 "Quarantine"
Kevin just moved to Houston from Austin, TX and Mollie just moved back to Houston from San Marcos, TX. We met right about the time COVID started. During this, we started off as friends and spent most of the quarantine times talking to each other over the phone and occasional/turned frequent hangouts with ice cream and chicken tenders. Kevin then was given an opportunity in Atlanta, GA in June with the company he was working for and we both decided to keep this relationship going long distance with the promise to being together again soon.
July 2021 "The Move"
Between the time Kevin moved to Atlanta, we would visit each other at least every six weeks. We enjoyed adventures and exploring cities together, whether it was Austin TX, Houston TX, a beach in Savannah GA, or a small town in Forrest Mississippi with nothing but fast food restaurants. Around July 2021 Mollie had found a promising career as an HR Generalist at an Aerospace company in Atlanta, GA and she made the leap to Atlanta where we no longer had to wait six weeks to see each other.
March 2022 "The House"
After Mollie moved into the Apartment complex in Brookhaven, it wasn't long before we decided to look for somewhere we can sink roots into the Georgia Area. The housing market was crazy and it seemed like we placed an offer on at least 10 houses before we were blessed in finding the house we live together in now.
September 2022 "The Loving Dog"
The house was too big for the both of us alone. Queue Mason. We adopted our little puppy when he was 6 weeks old and he was sweet, gentle, quiet, curious and loving. He is still all of those things (with the exception of quiet) but now packed into a 70 lb giant teddy bear rather than the 6lb puppy we once knew.
December 2023 "The Perfect Advice"
The plunge to one knee. Kevin debated on the best way to propose and wanted to get every detail right. He was excited and mostly nervous about making the proposal perfect until he received some of the best advice he has ever gotten in his life. "All that matters to make this perfect is that you ask and she says yes, the rest is just icing on the cake". The day of the proposal was freezing temperatures, we barely made the sunrise and Kevin cried the whole speech while he was down on one knee but it was a perfect proposal for those two reasons.
September 2024 "The Day"
I am grateful that I can take the advice into our wedding day as well. To make this day perfect, only two things need to happen. We both say I do. The rest of this story is to be continued...
