The love story of Macky and Nena began when they started attending in their local church namely God is Faithful Reformed Church. But first, let us take a look on how they met and got to know each other.

They met in their former church, at that time Nena was still in her past long-term relationship which she considered as toxic. Macky and Nena did not really converse that much with each other at first because both of them are introverts, they only got to talk with each other when they have something to talk about in regards to church activities. As time went by, they got used to approaching each other without being shy and they started to talk about a few common interests in life. They also happened to regularly attend on Thursdays a bible school which they no longer recommend going to because of its doctrinal errors that would lead to a faulty and unfruitful lifestyle, as well as a modern megachurch nearby SM North Edsa which is in its front on Wednesdays with their former churchmates.

Eventually, on year 2020 Macky and Nena became real close friends. Their closeness began before the pandemic that year, and of course they did not become close in a sudden blink of an eye, they became closer and closer gradually by talking deeper about the things they have in common such as interests. They found out that both of them love music, arts, mathematics/calculus, science, food, traveling, etc. Most of the time during the pandemic they only conversed through chats, and when the restrictions due to COVID were loosened up, they met to walk in Primeville, eat "pares", ride bikes, and sometimes go to some restaurants that are somehow far. At that time Nena considered Macky only as a little brother but the way Macky saw Nena was different, He started to become interested in her, but she was still in the said relationship so Macky could not help but become silent about his feelings. Macky was the person that Nena went to most of the time when she had a problem and a burden to tell whether it be about family or relationship. Whenever she cried Macky was always there to be all ears and give handkerchiefs for her.

There was some point when both of them became friends with AC, he came to their former church where Macky and Nena used to attend. He was the person who would constantly talk about the Gospel biblically everytime he got a chance to speak with anyone, he was the person that the Lord God used for Macky and Nena to truly repent of sins and believe in the Gospel (the life and finished works of Jesus Christ). A few months later, Macky was opened to "the doctrines of grace", it was not easy for him to accept its truth so he diligently studied the Scripture until the time he realized that the doctrine is consistent with the Scripture and it is what the Scripture really teaches. Macky, as being opened to the sovereign grace of God, he also shared it with AC and it was also hard to accept for him its truth, Macky convinced him every time they met and showed the Scriptures to him until the time he got to realize that it is what the Scripture teaches. Macky and AC also shared "the doctrines of grace" with Nena, while she was listening to us she was amazed at God's sovereign grace.

Macky, having that biblical conviction in him, he started to look for a church that teaches the bible in purity, and by God's grace, he was taken by God to a church which is their local church now. Macky when he started attending there eventually left their former church without any personal reason but doctrines. After Macky left their former church, they also became friends with Kelvin. Nena realized that her past long-term relationship was hopeless and futile but she still had a strong emotional attachment with her ex-boyfriend. A few months later, her ex-boyfriend broke up with her and she was so devastated by the break up that she was not even able to report to her work for a week. Macky, AC, and Kelvin were there for her to comfort her.

Nena ended up leaving their former church and started to join Macky to attend to the church which is now their local church. Nena who just had a recent breakup and was still in the stage of moving on, Macky was always there for her when she needed someone to talk to, comforting and sympathizing with her. Nena is a very observant person, she can notice even the slightest change in the way she is being treated, but in the past years she never noticed Macky's interest and feelings for her, he did not make it obvious to her that he would not even touch her, that is because Macky is very respectful and have high regards for women. But when Nena started to notice that Macky had feelings for her because she saw that he would do anything for her to the point of staying up late just to comfort her in video calls even if he had classes the next day, he was still a college student at that time. Nena began to fall in love with Macky when she saw his effort for her. One day they happened to confess how they felt about each other, they told their family members and Macky courted Nena and her parents with the desire to marry her one day, they also asked for the blessing of their Pastor and he blessed them with an advice to put God first and their ways will be guided by His power and sovereignty, and their love story went on and on, days felt like months and months felt like years when they are together. Macky always told Nena that he would marry her one day and he wanted to be with her for the rest of their lives, serving the Lord God together, he would always even propose to her with rings made of bus tickets, washi tapes, tissues, and anything that he could manage to make shaped like a ring because Macky is a very clever person. Now that they have been in a relationship for almost two years Macky has proven himself to Nena that he really is the standard. There is no one that can be compared to him, he knows how to treat her the right way and he is very patient with her no matter how misbehaving she is.

Macky proposed to Nena before he left to work for Qatar Airways, they are now getting married. Prayers and blessings for their upcoming marriage and future marriage life will be highly appreciated.
