We dated for the remainder of our teenage years, but decided to go separate ways early on in our college careers. Don't worry, there were no hard feelings, just a mutual understanding that we each wanted to have our own experiences and grow as individuals.

2019 brought Olivia back home to Boston (from working in Disney for a brief moment) and Henry to the north shore of MA. One fateful night, we ended up on the same train out of Salem and caught up. Then we got breakfast the next day. Soon, we were recording music together, kayaking at Hood Pond in Ipswich, and generally becoming best friends again. But romance wasn't always in our sights. I mean, get back together with your high school partner? Yeah, right.

Let's start a band instead.

The Far Out took shape in 2021 and has since seen an EP, an album, performances all over New England and beyond, opening slots for acts like KT Tunstall, the stage at the Sinclair, one wedding, two babies, and endless love and support from family, friends, and fans alike. It's in large part because of the vulnerability required of becoming partners in songwriting that we became partners in life again as well.

As a pair that loves to travel, just after rekindling our romance, Henry brought Olivia on a birthday trip to a childhood-favorite hiking spot: Boulder Loop. Two years later, we returned to the same spot under the guise of another birthday trip. It quickly became an engagement trip.

We can't wait to celebrate our love with you on September 5th, 2026! It's been a Long Time Coming.
