I wanted to tell the story of how I met Phillip for anyone intrested because its kinda funny, kinda cute, and kinda sad all at the same. I know that's a lot, but it will make a whole lot more sense in a minute.

June 2019

I had just gotten out of a year long relationship. I then realized that I hadn't been single for more than 1 week in the past 8 years and decided that I was going to actively comment to being single for one whole year to... find myself *jazz hands*.

That lasted all of about 4 months, but durning those 4 months I learned a lot about myself and grew my relationship with God, and with out Him I really don't think I would have found the other half of my heart.

Talking about Phillip here, if it wasn't obvious.

Anyway, fast forward to October 3rd, 2019 where I find myself sad on the beach.

Paige, how can you be sad on a beach?

Great question, glad you asked.

Dirty water, can't do it. I practically have to have congress vote for me to get into a pool and they are "clean".

So I'm at this beach watching my friend with her partner have fun and all these other people laughing and running with their partners having fun, and I broken down and downloaded Bumble.

I didn't know it then but that beach trip I didn't want to go on ended up being one of the most important and pivotal decisions I had ever made in my life, because three days later I matched with Phillip.

He was the only Bumble date that I had ever been on and the last first date I will ever have. He is my partner, my best friend, and my other half.

I thank God often for lining up all of those little tiny moments that led me to that beach and to Phillip.

So that's how I met Phillip and how I came to like the beach.

Not the water though, you won't catch me in that.
