Jesse and Peyton first crossed paths around 2010 in 8th grade math class. As middle schoolers do, the first interactions took place over FaceBook for several weeks while ignoring each others presence in real life.

The FB love was too strong to resist and they decided they were boyfriend/girlfriend over text one Friday evening. That following week was filled with awkward exchanges and avoiding eye contact. Jesse, being the true gentleman he is, walked Peyton to her bus one afternoon and they exchanged their first weird, middle school side hug.

The awkwardness too much to bare, Peyton got on the bus and proceeded to break up with Jesse via text, never to speak or look at him for the rest of that school year.

The two continued to follow each other on social media for the years to come. Fast forward to Fall of 2018, Peyton receives and a message on Instagram from lil_bullshit aka Jesse Groth (now skurt_cobain.) Some light hearted flirting followed for several days until Jesse asked if Peyton would like to get a drink sometime after work.

The pair met at Black Eyed Suzies in Bel Air for a drink one Wednesday evening and sat and talked for a few hours over some orange crushes - Jesse likes to call this date his "interview". Jesse was a gentleman, walked Peyton to her car and ended the night with just a harmless hug. The hug this time around did not repel Peyton and she in fact agreed to a second date that following Saturday.

Saturday came and the two went to an Eden concert at Rams Head Live in the city. Peyton at this point was skeptical of Jesse, thinking he was just too sweet and nice but she could not deny that he was very good looking. The evening sealed the deal for Peyton, they shared their first kiss, and the rest is history.

Peyton texted all her friends and family on the way home that she was going to marry this man and that she was already in love! Weary loved ones told her to slow down and get to know him first (lol.) But from that night on, the pair was virtually inseparable. Peyton spent countless nights at Jesses apartment and eventually, Jesse moved in with Peyton at the end of 2019 into 2020.

Jesse and Peyton were the best of friends. Their favorite things to do together were going for evening walks or sitting by the fire. In the summer of 2020, the couple bought their first home together in Havre de Grace, Maryland and quickly filled it with so much love (and cats.)

5 years later the home is filled with so many memories and overflowing with love. Peyton and Jesses relationship continues to flourish and grow stronger everyday.

The stars seem to have aligned for these two, the universe bringing them together at the exact right moment after knowing each other for so many years.

8th grade Peyton is sorry she didnt give 8th grade Jesse a chance, maybe this could be a story of middle school sweethearts! But their story is theirs. It is perfect the way it is.
