Sangeet

Monday, December 11, 2023
6:00 PM–11:00 PM
Legends Hall at The Marq Southlake
285 Shady Oaks Drive, Southlake, TX, 76092
Attire: FESTIVE. Since the theme of the sangeet is typically music and dancing (think Bollywood), wear something you can twirl the night away in! Bright colors are often worn at the Sangeet to reflect the playful spirit of the evening. Many will wear Indian outfits, but of course that is optional.
Description: Centered around music and dancing, this Hindu wedding tradition is a fun way to kick off the festivities. A day before the wedding nuptials, the bride and groom, along with all their closest friends and relatives, come together to celebrate the union of their two families. There will be dancing, performances, delicious Indian food, henna artists and overall a fun relaxed event to get everyone ready for the big day!! This will not be a long night and will conclude at 11pm so everyone can be ready for an early start the next day.

Wedding Reception

Tuesday, December 12, 2023
6:00 PM–11:00 PM
D'Vine Grace Vineyard
3747 Grace Ranch Trail, McKinney, TX, 75071
Attire: COCKTAIL or FORMAL. This is the event to pull out all the stops and dress up for a big party. There is no need to wear your tuxedo unless of course you really want to. Although some will choose to wear Indian attire, this will likely be the least Indian dressed of all events.
Description: This is a party! We will start with a cocktail hour and appetizers. After cocktails, the event will move to the banquet hall for an indulgent Indian dinner with assigned seating. There will be speeches, first dance, cake cutting and of course music and dancing to celebrate the happy couple. This event should conclude by 11pm after Charu and Sanjiv exit as newlyweds.

Wedding Ceremony

Monday, September First, Two Thousand Twenty-Five at Nine O'Clock In The Morning
D'Vine Grace Vineyard
3747 Grace Ranch Trail, McKinney, TX, 75071
Attire: SEMI-FORMAL. Many will wear formal Indian outfits typically worn at weddings, but of course this is optional. If you are not planning to wear Indian clothing, then the dress code would be semi formal. As per Hindu tradition, black is not worn at this ceremony.
Description: This will be a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony which will take around two hours. There will be light breakfast snacks available throughout the proceedings with a buffet lunch served at the conclusion of the ceremony.
