Our Story

Sarah Kathryn’s POV:

Picture of Sarah Kathryn’s POV:
It was March of my senior year and my best friend, now maid of honor, Cameron Andrews invited me to come stay with her at college. I was so excited to go to the little town of Monroeville, AL to hang out with Cam. We went to a “party” and I will save all the details for you but let’s just say I didn’t have the best night and somehow Andrew ended up taking care of me. I woke up the next morning asking Cameron “WHO WAS THAT GUY FROM LAST NIGHT?” Because he was literally the man of my dreams. Well, she told me his name, and like any 18 year old does, I went to instagram and found him. To my surprise, he had already messaged me. It was something along the lines of “Goodmorning beautiful, hope you feel better when you wake up” and then he proceeded to send me his phone number, Snapchat, social security card and routing number (kidding). I was literally FREAKING OUT. I started going up there every weekend. Finally I brought Andrew home to meet my parents. We ate Los Tres… if you know, you know. Before I met Andrew, I remember telling my dad I had very high expectations for my next boyfriend, he had to be taller than me, had to have brown hair, had to be able to get a tan, needed to be athletic (for the kids), and I wanted him to be smart… but not smarter than me. Well, the morning after I brought Andrew home my Dad started laughing and said he thought my chances were slim when I described my dream man too him, until he met Andrew. Fast forward a few months and I was moving to Monroeville to cheer, Andrew was there for baseball. A year later Andrew committed to Nichols State in Louisiana for baseball, so we started long distance. Then we continued long distance while I was at Troy. Andrew actually moved in with my parents for a while… it takes a special kind of person to live with those crazies. Just kidding. I finally moved home and Andrew bought a house and we have the most perfect golden retriever I’ve ever seen. From the moment I met Andrew I knew I wanted to marry him. I told everyone. It was a little embarrassing actually, but I just knew. And FINALLY after waiting far too long and after watching Andrew buy WAY too many things, he proposed to me on November 18th, 2023 on Fairhope pier with the most beautiful sunset, and it will be a day I remember forever. Over the past 6 years we have both grown so much as individuals and as a couple. Andrew has shown me constant love, support, and reassurance. I am so thankful that I get to spend the rest of my life with him. I can’t wait to see what life has in store for us.

Andrew’s POV:

Picture of Andrew’s POV:
I met the most beautiful soul in March of 2018 at a little college apartment complex in Monroeville, Alabama . Her name was Sarah Kathryn and she immediately took my breath away the first time I saw her. I had a chance to hang out with her at a little party a few days later and decided to shoot my shot with her and man I’m glad I did. I finally gained the nerve to ask her out in April of 2018 and was in love. I finished school a year before her and moved to Louisiana for a year for baseball. Long distance is a hard thing for a lot of people, especially at 20 years old. I knew it was gonna be tough but knew I didn’t wanna lose her. Yeah, we had fights and our ups and downs but thankfully she stuck through it with me every day. I left school early and decided to go to work and got my first job back in Monroeville. We were only an hour away from each other at this point with her living in Satsuma, Alabama and every chance we got we were driving to see each other. It wasn’t long after that I decided the drive every weekend or seeing each other every week or two wasn’t enough. So, in January of 2020 I moved to Satsuma while Sarah was at school in Troy. I was fortunate enough to live with her parents until I saved enough to buy a house not far down the road. We were attached at the hip, never wanting to be away from each other, still are. As the years passed and our love grew and we made some of the best memories I decided it was time to pop the big question. So, on November 18, 2023 I made the best decision of my life and asked her to marry me. And thank God she said yes! She has been with me through some hard times and no matter what I’ve done to make her mad she’s always chose to love me. I don’t deserve her and honestly nobody does. I’m blessed to have her in my life and able to love her every day. So, Sarah Kathryn Singleton, I can’t wait to change your last name on March 28, 2025. I love you forever and always.
