For all guests (and their buddies) who are in town a couple of days before the wedding we will be holding an informal get together (think: beach day with games followed by everyone walking their sandy butts to a nearby restaurant for happy hour). This is a great time to get to know more people who will be at the wedding. And a great excuse for you to come enjoy the whole weekend in Los Angeles.
3:00 pm:
Parking may be difficult because it's a holiday weekend, so allow some extra time to find a spot and walk to the beach. We recommend one of the all-day lots so you don't have to worry about quarters and you can leave the car for dinner and drinks. Click here for a map of parking in the area.
We will be grabbing as much space on the sand as possible near the 10th street lifeguard stand in Hermosa Beach. Be on the lookout for balloons, Brian, Seyka, or anyone else you might recognize! Go to this Google Maps pin then walk towards the water :)
We'll have some games and volleyballs, but feel free to bring anything else fun!
Weather is looking nice but not particularly hot. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't come to the beach (or wear sunscreen)!
5:00 pm:
At 5:00 pm will be migrating to the upstairs of Abigaile for dinner and drinks! It's just north of the corner of Pier Ave and Manhattan Ave in Hermosa Beach. Click here for the exact location.
We will be upstairs, above Abigaile (upstairs is formerly known as Ocean Bar). Walk over with us from the beach or we'll meet you upstairs!
There is an ocean view from the rooftop and we have a special menu for our party so come hungry!
The restaurant is also a microbrewery with great beer, cocktails, and wine so come thirsty!
The space is indoor/outdoor with glass windows, heaters and a retractable roof! Wear what is comfortable - we'll be able to regulate the temperature well :)
We'll be here for at least a couple hours so if you can't make it right at 5:00pm, feel free to stop by after 5:00 pm!
Please make sure they know that you are with our party whenever ordering food and drinks :)
Ceremony and reception will be held at the same location. There is parking on-site. No kids will be at the wedding except for the Ring Barer and Flower Girl. The wedding and reception will be 5 pm - 11 pm.
The ceremony will be outside and the reception will be indoor and outdoor. Please check the weather in the weeks before the wedding to predict what the temperature should be.
The ceremony will be serious, God-centered, and aimed at honoring the great promise that Brian and Seyka are making to themselves and to their entire community.
The reception is going to be a rambunctious party, a ridiculous amount of fun, lots of big personalities, loud music, dancing, good food, good drinks, and filled with lots of love to celebrate that wonderful promise.
