Love masked in the COVID19 Pandemic.

They met on online dating and they both happened to live on opposite sides of the country. She was a second year resident and he was a seventh year fellow. They talked and got hooked. The stars aligned as they built a genuine connection despite the distance, busy schedules, time difference, and a million other reasons why this wouldn’t work.

Then, they decided to meet. Adithya had a conference in San Diego 9/24/22. Shannon planned to visit her college best friend in San Diego that same weekend. It was a date.

The story took off from there.

4 weeks later Shannon flew to Philly.

Somehow, someway, they met nearly once a month every month.

Love blossomed.

Made it in time to see fall in the east coast!

Adithya did not hesitate to fly out to Phoenix soon after. The Grand Canyon did not disappoint. National Parks are their go to destination.

They had their first major holiday together! Thanksgiving

They were very thankful to have had Thanksgiving together as December turned into a very busy month.

Rang in the new year!! 🥳🥳

Did some cultured Broadway things along the way.

Visited hometowns. Couldn’t sleep on Napa Valley. Shannon was born and raised in Bay Area, California. Adithya was born and raised in Philadelphia and later moved to Tampa Bay in his teen years.

And Adithya officially sold the idea of living in Florida to Shannon.

Soon these airport dependent get togethers would be a thing of the past.

Flowers - all types! From roses, tulips, sunflowers, cherry blossoms, carnations, daffodils, etc. they enjoy them all. Adithya is always on the search for the best flowers. He even went hand picking tulips on a tulip farm in New Jersey after work before he hopped on a plane to North Carolina for Shannon's birthday. Shannon was awe struck.

Time passed, countless memories were made. They got even closer through all of life’s roller coaster rides. It felt like a lifetime had occurred. Along the way they learned to love a little harder, forgive a little more, and to never take each other for granted. For they fell in love with this imperfectly perfect little life of theirs. Against all odds, they had an indelible amount of trust and respect for each other built on a foundation of mutual understanding. It was not forsaken how blessed they are. Two feral first-born adult children living their wildest dreams.

They attended weddings.

Celebrated birthdays.

The night before the proposal. Shannon had no idea what was about to happen. She thought there was no way Adithya would sneak in an engagement in between all the changes that were going on during this time - moving back to Florida, job transition, etc. They had planned to get engaged about 10 months from now. However, Adithya was not too canny about Shannon knowing all the details to her engagement which he felt like was his responsibility to throw a surprise.

They were so thankful to have found each other and to start the next chapter of their lives.
