We met in Florida and bonded over our love for Washington state and the mountains. On our first date we went on a stroll around a state park then had a picnic with Chick-Fil- A and Ciderboys Blackberry Cider!

We adopted Cooper! It was love at first sight!

We said I love you for the first time. We were on a road-trip exploring South Florid and were camping at a state park. With the fire was crackling, Cooper at our feet and the speaker playing love songs quietly, we exchanged the words I love you.

We moved to New Mexico. Since moving, we have enjoyed exploring the many wonders this state has to offer. Our first week in NM we volunteered at the well known Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, and we have been hooked on exploring the area since!

We got engaged at the oldest church in the US, San Miguel Chapel. Evan planned a surprise trip to Santa Fe for Shannon's birthday and, after many fun adventures that trip, dropped down on one knee. No words actually came out of Evan's mouth during that time, so when they got back into the car he asked to marry her and she said yes!

We made each other’s wedding bands from scratch in Salida, CO. We worked with a metalsmith to forge each other's band so as to literally make our promises to each other for each other. Fun fact: part of Shannon’s engagement ring (which was too big at the time) is in Evan’s band!

We married in a small ceremony with just our parents and siblings at Mt. Rainier National Park. We are having a big wedding on the same date in 2025 at a venue that overlooks Mt. Rainier.
