They met back in 2016 but that is not where the love story begins. After a year of friendship, she started to realize she had feelings. He was a junior in high school and she was a freshman in college at Salem State University. After many weeks of racing back to her dorm to play xbox with him, she started dropping obvious hints. Every hint went over his head so she had to come out and say it. She went back home a few days later and they met up. They didn't meet up alone, they were hanging out with their friend Garret. Garret unknowingly was witness to the couples first kiss and he agreed to officiate the first of their marriage. They ditched Garret by the end of the night, and ended up seeing a shooting star.

He started driving up to Salem every weekend to see her. They quickly learned that sharing a twin bed for two nights a week took some adjusting, but it was worth it. He never went to college but he got 4 years of the college experience for free. He got to experience everything with her, from waking up at 3 am from a fire alarm because someone couldn't make popcorn, to spending hours in a study room. He loved watching her go “full nerd” so he would help her study by quizzing her. This continued until spring break… 2020…her senior year.

Surprisingly quarantine was not a problem for them. Stuck in one room together playing video games all day was some of their favorite times. So much so, that they officially moved in together. Fast forward to April 2022, they finally made the big move they had been waiting for…they adopted Smokey! Bringing Smokey into their lives was a whole new level in their relationship. He finally popped the question in August 2022, and of course she said yes.

She was on the edge of her seat all summer but he caught her off guard, and proposed on a Thursday. He chose one of her busiest days of the summer to propose. She worked all day and then they had to attend an industry mixer event for work in Boston. Little did she know her night would not be over after the event. They walked in their front door to see their dog Smokey in a tux. When she turned around he was down on one knee. He then guided her down the stairs decorated in lights out to the backyard. Outside was a table setup with lights, flowers, drinks, cake and other goodies. Then her mom, sister and their friends popped out and surprised her. She was in shock and had no idea how to speak. They ended the night by the fire with drinks and cigars, cheering to the happy couple.
