Steven and Alexa first met working at Shoe Carnival in late 2017. They started off as friends, joking and laughing in the aisles of the Men's Department. In November, Alexa slid into Steven's DMs on Twitter to start talking outside of work. They officially started dating on January 1st of 2018 after spending their first New Years Eve together!

During this time, they still worked together at Shoe Carnival, went to youth group on Wednesdays, and church together on Sundays. They attended Winter Formal and Prom together for both of their schools. Then, they finally graduated high school in May 2018 (Alexa from Mt. Vernon and Steven from Central).

After graduating high school, they moved to Terre Haute to attend Indiana State University. They rigged the system to live in the same dorm buildings for their Freshman and Sophomore years all while still working together at Shoe Carnival.

For the next two years, they moved in together and quickly became close friends with their three roommates - who will be joining them on their wedding day as groomsmen! While living there, Alexa found the cutest pup named Melvin, and convinced Steven to bring him home! Melvin has been the sweetest addition to their family ever since.

After another year in Terre Haute, they moved back to Evansville to be closer to both of their families and have stayed there and made many new memories. In August of 2024, on vacation in Orange Beach, Steven finally asked Alexa to spend the rest of their lives together!

Steven and Alexa have spent the past seven years laughing and loving each other and they can't wait to get married and celebrate their special day with all of you!

When Steven first started working at Shoe Carnival, his Mom told him he would meet the love of his life working at Shoe Carnival - just like she met Steven's Dad! Who would've thought selling shoes would bring these two together and be the start of their love story!
