Stratton & I knew each other from school, but officially met in August of 2020 in a seminary class. We instantly became close friends & soon after became a little more ;). We began dating & enjoying lots of time together listening to music, hammocking, and being outdoors. Somewhere along the way we became official. In July of 2021, even though we were young, we decided we loved each other & shared the common goal of getting married one day. Soon after, Stratton left for a 2 year mission in Mexico. He served for 10 months before coming home due to a torn ACL. We spent 6 months growing our love & relationship before sending him back out again for the rest of his mission. We went through many individual trials during this time, but we saw our relationship strengthen in the gospel & in general. Since he has been back in June of 2023, we have only grown closer. We have gone on so many adventures & trips. We started college, work as CNAs, & have fun where we can! On December 23, 2023, he proposed in the sweetest way by taking me on a scavenger hunt to all the places that are special in our relationship. (Many pictured ;) He tricked me into thinking it was for a Christmas gift. We later returned to the same spot all dressed up for family pictures. We went back over to it to “get pictures by it”. When I looked at it the second time, the banner had been changed from “merry Christmas” to “marry me”. It was the most perfect & special day ever! We are best friends that can’t wait to do life together & start our forever on August 10th, 2024!
