Our Story

Picture of Our Story

Nate and Tara found each other when neither were looking for anything. The two of them were invested in building their careers but found support within each other. The first date was complete chaos when they could not find somewhere to have dinner. When Longhorn was the only option that was not a 2+ hour wait, not knowing that Nate wasn't a big steak fan. The second date was probably the most interesting when Tara agreed to go drifting with Nate. She had no idea what it was until she was in Nate's race car. As crazy as it was, she had a blast but quickly found out how expensive it can be.

From there, their relationship grew. Their values and morals aligned more and more as they spent time with each other. Things also moved quickly but without missing a beat. Tara was offered a job in a different area and Nate did not hesitate to support. They moved in together the Summer of 2022. They grew their little household when they rescued their kitten and named him after their favorite dinner, Tacos. Nate and Tara continued to support each other through the ups and downs of life.

On May 5th, Tara was graduating from the University of North Georgia with her Masters degree. Both sets of parents were coming into town for the event. Little did Tara know, Nate had more plans for the day. After dinner, the whole crew went back to Nate and Tara's house for gift opening. Nate waited to give his last gift. As most people know, Tara likes her gnomes. Nate's "gift" was gnomes that were a bride and groom (Tara was oblivious to that fact). She was told there was a story to them. When she turned around to ask what the story was, Nate was on one knee. Everyone was speechless and all Tara could do was nod her head. She did finally find the word "Yes". For the record, Nate did ask permission from Tara's dad at the graduation ceremony. Although, Tara's mom was left completely in the dark. Nate and his mother were plotting for months for the big moment.

Since getting engaged, Tara took another job at Stephens County High School building her own Athletic Training program. Nate also moved jobs to a local Ford dealership. Nate and Tara also bought a house in Toccoa, Ga. Nate and Tara are excited to be getting married and continue to build their life together. They cannot wait to celebrate their marriage with their family and friends.
