Our Wedding

Esteban and Teri first crossed paths in West Virginia while working at Bluefield College. What began as an easy friendship quickly blossomed into something more. A year later, life took Teri to Washington, D.C., and their relationship was put to the test as they navigated the challenges of long-distance—six hours apart, but closer than ever. Eventually, Esteban made the move, and the two shared a cozy 400-square-foot apartment in Virginia at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. With Teri working from home and Esteban looking for a job, it was a season full of uncertainty, growth, and more than a few laughs. Despite the chaos, or perhaps because of it, their bond only deepened. Soon, they found a larger place to call home, Teri returned to the office, and Esteban landed a job he loved. That apartment has been their home for over four years, and now they’re ready for the next big adventure—finding a place to truly settle, despite the wild ride that is the current housing market. In March of 2024, Teri and Esteban took their first international trip with 2 of their closest friends (shout out Caleb and Jacq!) to New Zealand. Teri had a feeling this is when Esteban was going to propose but she still wasn’t sure! Of course he picked the day they hiked up a mountain and Teri didn’t do her hair! With an epic Mount Cook in the background, they agreed to spend the rest of their lives together! For over six years, their shared love of sports, the outdoors, and a good margarita has made life together anything but ordinary. They’re thrilled for this next chapter and can’t wait to keep laughing, exploring, and building a life filled with joy and love. They are so thrilled for this next chapter that they just couldn't wait to make it legal. So on a balmy spring morning, they went to the courthouse in Alexandria and agreed to spend the rest of their lives together, with Remi as their witness. But they didn't want to miss out on all the fun so their will be a more traditional ceremony in May of 2026, surrounded by the people that love them most.

Exact prices per person will be calculated as soon as everyone has RSVP'd. We are anticipating $300-$450 per person for the whole weekend. Check in starts Thursday at 2pm and checkout is Sunday at 11am. Please be on the lookout for a link to book and pay for your room after the RSVP deadline.

Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat

Join us for a 2.5 hour river tubing trip on Saturday 5/16. Cost is $25 per person.

Greenville and Charlotte airports are both about 2.5 hours from the venue. Asheville is a smaller airport but it is only about 1.5 hours away. If you need a ride from the airport to the venue, please reach out. Depending on which airport people end up flying into, we can always try to carpool!
