Q + A

Do I need a passport to attend the wedding?

Yes — all guests traveling to Jamaica will need a valid passport. Please make sure yours is valid for at least 6 months after your travel dates.

Where should I fly into?

Please book your flight into Montego Bay (MBJ). From there, it’s about a 1.5–2 hour scenic drive to Negril.

How do I get from the airport to Negril?

We’ll share recommended shuttle and private transfer options as we get closer to the date. Guests are welcome to book their own transportation if preferred.

Is the wedding at a resort?

No — the ceremony and reception will take place at Patoo Castle, a private oceanfront venue in Negril.

Is there a wedding hashtag?

Yes — we’d love for you to use #SmittenBySmith when sharing photos and memories.

What is the dress code?

We’ll share the official dress code soon, but you can expect something along the lines of island‑elegant — polished, breathable, and comfortable for warm weather.

Can I bring my kids?

Please check the invitation details. If the wedding is adults‑only or limited to certain ages, we’ll note it clearly there.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We’ll share our ceremony photo policy closer to the date, but we kindly ask guests to be present and respectful during key moments.

When should I arrive in Jamaica?

We recommend arriving 1–2 days before the wedding to settle in, enjoy the island, and avoid any travel delays.

Will there be other events during the weekend?

Yes — we’re planning a few optional moments to connect and celebrate. Details will be shared as we finalize the schedule.

What weather should I expect?

July in Negril is warm, sunny, and tropical. Expect temperatures in the 80s, with a light ocean breeze. We recommend breathable fabrics and comfortable shoes.

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Please let us know when you RSVP. We’ll make sure the catering team is prepared.

Who should I contact if I have any questions?

If you have any questions regarding the day's events, don't hesitate to contact the Sheriffa at 404-914-7330.
