Picture it—University of Delaware, 2005. “The Facebook” was just for college students and newly incoming freshman, Mark & Tom, both noticed the other’s love of Idina Menzel. After chatting over AIM (Google it kids) and moving around the same college theater circles, they began dating in 2008 after a semester of living in the same house. After graduating, Tom moved back to Union City, New Jersey while Mark stayed in Delaware. They were long distance for almost 5 years, spending the occasional weekend visiting the lovely towns of central Jersey…
Finally, in 2013, Mark convinced Tom to move to Delaware. They settled in Pike Creek and adopted an ornery golden retriever named Toby. For his birthday in 2017, Mark gave Tom tickets to see Allison Janney on Broadway in “Six Degrees of Separation.” After the show, Mark took Tom to the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park (their favorite spot in New York) and proposed. Ever the realists, they decided to buy a home together first before planning a wedding and moved to Meeting House Hill in 2018.
After almost 17 years in the making, Mark & Tom are finally saying “I do…” and can’t wait to celebrate with you! It’s finally happening so get ready to party!
