Our story began three years ago when we met for drinks after work at Cellar Door (now The Historic Swoop-Duggins House) in downtown New Orleans. During our first year together, I switched career paths and became a flight attendant. We have always loved to travel together and now enjoy exploring new cities where I have layovers. We even spent Christmas 2022 in freezing Fargo, North Dakota, but wherever we go, we make the best memories! On June 11, 2023, Travis said we were meeting some clients of his for dinner. He told me we were going to the clients’ Airbnb for cocktails before dinner. Little did I know we were actually at the old Cellar Door…our first date spot! When he took me on the balcony and got down on his knee, I was in total shock. To make things even better, he pulled off his grand plan to sneak in our family and friends downstairs, without me noticing, where they waited to surprise us and celebrate our engagement and our future as a soon-to-be married couple.
