If it was not for Heather Barnhill, we would not be here today. Heather was my instructional assistant in our kindergarten classroom. As the year went along and we got closer, Heather said I should meet her brother in law. I did not feel like I was ready to start dating so I declined all year.

That was until the very last month of school, I agreed I would go on a date with him. On our first date Michael came to my house to pick me up in his big old red truck. We went out to dinner and to the south end of Topsail beach. To say we clicked instantaneously would be an understatement. All of our goals and morals were aligned. We continued to go on dates and here we are❤️
