There is plenty to see in Washington DC, but the Tuesday after our wedding happens to be the Fourth of July! If you are thinking about extending the weekend to be a longer get-a-way, you will already be very close to the nation's capital! If you like hot weather and big crowds, you should definitely check out all that DC has to offer! (We aren't exaggerating about the size of the crowds, but it is definitely something people should check out at least once!)

If you like history, hiking, the great outdoors, battlefields, and river tubing, Harpers Ferry, WV may be the place for you (and your family)! All of what Harpers Ferry has to offer is only 40 minutes from our wedding venue!

Do you want to drink Natty Boh's and experience a (real) crab cake from Maryland??! Turn on your Old Bay taste buds and go to the Baltimore Inner Harbor. One of Kyle and Emily's first dates took place at the Baltimore Aquarium. This is a little over 1 hour from the wedding venue.

You betcha' we do! Virginia has a lot of beautiful wineries and vineyards. The wineries in the Shenandoah Valley have a lot of scenic views and outdoor activities close by, such as the Skyline Drive at Shenandoah National Park.
