Gearing up for the Gregory

Love at first sight!!!!

Picture of Love at first sight!!!!
It was November 21, 2021. St. John Baptist church. Sunday morning I walked into a new church to surprise my friend. Someone that I call my sister. Not knowing that once I walked into the sanctuary I would witness the man of my dreams. The man God had for me. Not knowing what I know now, I just played the silent role. As church began, we shared a lot of eye contact moments. You know the ones that say “Heyyyy”. Lol. Once I left church I headed to the gas station to get some gas. As I was leaving, to my surprise I saw him again. This time Caleb says quickly and shying “ Hey second time seeing you” and he walked away. I smiled because I could tell that it wasn’t a coincidence seeing him. That following Sunday, Caleb got the courage to talk to me. And as we stood in the foyer, we talked for a while before it was time for me to go. Had to get my daughter to the airport. A few days later, a friend request notification from Facebook pops up and guess who it was!?!?! Caleb Gregory wants to be your friend. Of course I accepted it, but I knew was talking to someone so I had to be careful that no boundaries were crossed. A few days later I get a message from him on messenger and he was such a gentleman. Manners and respectful of me taking to someone. But don’t get it twisted, I knew we would talk again. A couple of days after Christmas, we messaged each other and my bold self, having that feeling of take a chance let Caleb know that I was single. Ooooohhhhhh it worked lol. We started talking more and more and more. Everyday we talked and enjoyed each other’s conversation that January 1st 2022, we decided to meet up. Have our first unofficial date lol. He came to pick me up, opened my car door. Such a gentleman. Because it was late, we drove to a nearby park and sat inside the car talking and listening to music. There was definitely an attraction there and a desire to see where it would take us. Since that might, we were inseparable. We spent a lot of time together. Went to church together. And the way he played the organ just had me in a daze. We’ve travels together, introduced me to his mother. And later on his family. Meeting his family solidified my love for him even more. You could tell where he learned how to be a man, gentleman, God fearing man, musician and just an all around sweetheart. I knew he was God sent. July 17th, 2022, he set up a surprise dinner proposal that I thought was a going away party for my oldest daughter. Yes, he proposed to me. My baby proposed and there was no doubt in my mind that my answer was YES!!! He’s my best friend, a great father, great inspiration, someone who will listen and never judge. Hilarious is an understatement of the century. He knew how to turn my frown upside down. All the challenges we’ve gone through with health, we still stand strong to this day. We pray together, laugh together, and love each other unconditionally as Christ lived the Church. We made it official January 1st, 2023, but still plan on celebrating with our family and friends July 22,2023. As our life began together as husband and wife New Year’s Day, our family is larger and we stand strong on what the church has taught us about marriage. What our past has taught us about marriage. We are committed to each other for better or worse, richer or poorer, sickness and in health, till death do us part. Amen
