How do I get to the venue?
Madrid–Barajas Airport is the nearest airport to the venue, and will likely be the most practical option for both our US and Irish guests. There are then a couple of options available for getting to the venue from the airport.
1) Car Rental
2) Taxi
3) Let us know if you are interested in a shuttle option. The hotel can provide shuttle services, and we would be happy to help co-ordinate if there is interest.
I'm still confused on how to get there. Can someone help?
For sure. Just reach out to us directly and we'd be more than happy to help with finding flight and/or transfer options for anyone that needs assistance.
What's this whole ETIAS travel authorization about?
We don't really know to be honest, but apparently the EU is going to require US travellers to obtain this starting in 2025. Supposedly its a 5/10 minute process that's really just a formality, but we wanted to be sure to give our guests a heads up. It's already had its enforcement pushed back 1 year, so who knows....
What's the plan?
The wedding itself will begin at 6pm on the evening of the 10th, so guests are welcome to enjoy the hotel amenities, or take a trip into Toledo during the day. The following day, guests are welcome to do their own thing, or join us by the pool for a pool day where the hotel bar will be open to keep the nuptials going. There is then a farewell BBQ and Party planned for 7pm at the hotel Lake House.
How many days is the wedding?
The wedding itself is ultimately just one day, with an afterparty the evening of the 11th for those who wish to stick around. Guests are welcome to stay as many, or as few a days as they like however.
What's the weather like?
Central Spain is generally still pretty hot come mid September. We'd recommend our guests plan for 81F/27C temperatures, with something light to cover up with in the evenings when the temperatures cool off a little.
When you say formal........
Think more suits and dresses, and less denim and sailor outfits (Sorry Rob)
