It was a chilly day warmed by ramen bowls and nervous laughter. We sat across from each other, sharing bites and stories over steaming broth, the air fragrant with comfort and something new beginning.
Afterward, we found ourselves wandering to a boba shop, the silence between us soft and shy. We sipped our drinks, both a little unsure of what to say, but the sweetness of the boba was a quiet comfort, much like the gentle closeness we were starting to feel.
At the local Asian market, everything felt like an adventure. Colorful aisles, curious snacks, and that unforgettable moment when a bottle of ramune unexpectedly exploded on Jared, breaking the ice completely and soaking us in laughter and his pants.
The awkward and sweet moments bound us together. From that day on, we were inseparable and everything just clicked.

At the heart of our home are 8 beautiful parrots, each with their own vibrant personality. Rebecca has raised birds for as long as she can remember, while Jared, a new bird parent, has quickly formed a unique bond with each of our feathered children. Together, we tackle all the highs and lows of bird parenting- from cleaning poop off the floors and scrubbing cages to braving the occcasional bite and enduring their loud screaming sessions (especially Mango). Despite the mess and the noise, our birds bring so much joy and love into our lives. Their playful chatter, adorable antics, and endless energy remind us daily of how lucky we are to have them as part of our family.

Visiting Disneyworld together has always been a dream. For us, it's not about the rides or the fairy tale castles (although that is a perk for sure). Disney parks have been a shared symbol of joy, nostalgia, and pure magic in our relationship.

Our Disney journey actually began back in 2021, when we visited Disneyland together for the first time. That trip sparked something unforgettable—it was our first real taste of experiencing the magic as a couple, and it set the stage for everything that followed.

The first time we stepped into Disneyworld together, we instantly knew it would become a core part of our story. Every corner of the park reminds us of the dreams we share, the laughs we’ve had, and the memories we’ve made. It’s a place that has the power to transform us back into kids again, while also allowing us to experience it through our own adult eyes, as we create moments that will last a lifetime.

Disneyworld has become more than a vacation spot for us—it’s a place where we can embrace joy and let go of the everyday stresses.

And then of course, there was the moment—Jared’s proposal at the iconic castle. It felt like magic in every sense of the word. In that moment, surrounded by the magic and the breathtaking castle (AND the sun), it was as if time stood still.

Now, as we embark on this first trip to Disneyworld as newlyweds, it’s even more special. We’ll be spending our honeymoon there—immersing ourselves in the magic, reliving those unforgettable moments, and starting this next chapter surrounded by the joy and wonder that Disney so uniquely brings. From the parades to the fireworks, from the smallest details to the grandest moments, Disney will always be a part of our love story—and now, a part of our forever.
