Lagos is shifting more towards being a cashless society and cash/Naira is now very difficult to obtain. Direct transfer is the preferred method of payment and is a very simple process. Those coming from the US, UK, and Canada are encouraged to download a free money transfer application such as LemFi (our recommended application), Taptap Send, WorldRemit, etc. Similar to Zelle, Cashapp and other transfer applications, money is sent by adding your debit/ATM card to your profile, depositing money into the application and when ready to make a payment insert the bank name and account number or the individual/establishment you wish to pay. Payment is usually received within one minute.
