Q + A

Can I bring a guest?

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate additional guests, we can only accommodate those formally invited on your invitation. Your invitation will be addressed as [Your Name] + [Guest] if a plus one has been given to you. Thank you for understanding!

Are my kids invited?

While we adore all the littles ones in our lives, we have opted for an adults-only celebration to ensure that everyone can relax and enjoy the festivities. We hope you understand our decision, and we look forward to celebrating this special day with you.

When do I need to RSVP by?

To help us in our planning process, we ask that you kindly RSVP by May 5, 2025. If we don't receive your RSVP by the date specified, we cannot make any exceptions and will have to mark you as 'no' as we need to provide the venue with a final guest count in a timely manner!

What time should I arrive at your wedding?

Please arrive no later than 15 minutes BEFORE the ceremony start time of 4:00pm. You are welcome to arrive anywhere between 3:30 to 3:45pm and use this time as an opportunity to sign the guest book and find a spot to sit for the ceremony. If you are late, you will be asked to wait until the ceremony is over before joining the festivities during the cocktail hour. If you received a reception-only invitation, we welcome you to arrive at 8:30pm as our first dance will begin shortly after this.

Is there parking available?

There is ample parking available at the venue, any vehicles left overnight will need to be picked up by 11:00am the next morning.

Will transportation be provided to and from the venue?

Yes! We will have shuttles coming from three locations to ensure all of our guests can get to the wedding and back home safely. The shuttle from the Best Western in Perth will leave at 3:15pm, the shuttle from Kanata will leave at 2:45pm and the shuttle from the Comfort Inn in Carleton Place will leave at 3:15pm to ensure prompt arrival to the venue ahead of the ceremony. There will be two scheduled departure times at the end of the evening, 11:00pm and 1:00am that will take you back to your designated locations (Perth, Carleton Place and Kanata).

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We are having an "unplugged ceremony", this means that we are asking all phones and devices be put away and on silent during the ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer and videographer to capture the most important moments of our day and we would hate to have phones blocking their shots. After the ceremony is complete, feel free to take as many photos as you'd like! If you do take photos post ceremony please upload them using the QR code displayed around the venue so we can see them and we will be sure to share our ceremony photos as soon as we receive them!

Is there an open bar?

We will be having an open bar during cocktail hour and wine service during dinner. Once the reception begins, drinks will be available for purchase throughout the remainder of the evening.

Will the wedding be outdoors or indoors?

Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outside in the wooded area and cocktail hour will take place in the garden. Please take this into consideration when choosing your shoe attire as there will be uneven ground. Note: if it rains the ceremony will take place indoors.

Is there a dress code or colours I should avoid wearing?

Yes! We would love to see all our guest dress up for the day. The dress code is elevated garden party. Please try to avoid wearing shades of orange. I have provided inspiration photos below to get an idea of what this means. Note: these are just some options to visualize the vibe, you are more than welcome to wear dress styles and colours outside of the inspo provided. For men: dress pants, dress shirts are encouraged, ties and suit jackets are optional as it will likely be hot. Please no jeans, work boots, or ball caps etc.
