What date should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP either online or by mail no later than August 9, 2025.
Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?
We invite you to RSVP online or by mailing in our RSVP card sent with your invitation.
What is the address of the wedding ceremony and reception venue?
Our venue's address is 5306 AZ-87, Strawberry, AZ 85544. Please note that this is approximately a 1 hour and 45 minute drive from the East Valley, including Sky Harbor Airport. Once you arrive, you will see signage directing you to the location of the ceremony.
Is there parking available near the venue?
There is relatively limited parking on the property for the number of guests expected. Please carpool if able and/or be prepared to park on the adjacent street if needed.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our afternoon ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held outdoors. The average temperature for our wedding date is 80 degrees. Guests will walk to and from the wedding location down a gravel pathway to a paved walkway. Please keep this in mind when choosing footwear.
Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?
We have not reserved blocks of rooms as there are not any hotels that offer this in the area. We suggest staying at The Strawberry Inn, which is adjacent to the property or any AirBnB or VRBO in either Strawberry or Pine.
Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the venue for the wedding?
We will have a vehicle available to drop off/pick up anyone staying off property locally for the wedding ceremony and reception. If you would like to take advantage of this, please include it in your RSVP so that pick up can be scheduled.
What is the best airport to use?
Depending on where you are flying in from, Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) or Mesa Gateway (AZA) are the closest major airports.
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Our dress code is country cocktail which basically translates to dressy casual. This allows for shorter dresses and open collars, but the overall look should still feel elevated. Very dark wash denim is acceptable for men if paired with a blazer and button-down; dresses or jumpsuits work equally well for ladies.
What is the weather and climate like in the area?
The average high temperature on our wedding date is 80 degrees at 4 PM. For those of you coming from humid climates, please remember this is a "dry heat". The average low is 48 degrees. We recommend sunglasses for the ceremony and a wrap or blazer to keep warm later in the evening.
Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?
We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guest list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
We love your children, but we want for all of our guests to enjoy their evening free from parenting responsibilities. We cannot accommodate guests under age 21 on our wedding day other than our flower girl nieces. Thank you for your understanding.
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
We plan on having options to meet the needs of all of our guests. Please be sure to indicate any dietary restrictions, preferences, and/or allergies on your RSVP so that we can be sure you fell comfortable and are well fed!
Will there be an open bar?
There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception. Those who plan on staying for the after-party on the grounds once the reception ends will need their own alcohol.
Where can I find your wedding registry?
You can find our complete wedding registry here on our website (and purchase directly from our wish list) under the "Registry" tab.
Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 1310 N. Blue Marlin Dr., Gilbert, AZ 85234. A wedding card box will be at our reception.
What is the wedding itinerary?
Our wedding will take place at The Cabins at Strawberry Hill on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM sharp, followed by cocktail hour and the reception, which is anticipated to wrap up around 10:00 PM.
What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?
We understand that those traveling from the valley will want to be sure to be at the venue with time to spare. The doors to the venue will open one hour ahead of our ceremony time at 3:00 PM. We recommend arriving at the venue at least 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to walk to the ceremony space (which is a short walk from the parking area) and find a seat.
What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?
Our reception will end around 10:00 PM in order to comply with local noise ordinances and respect those who live adjacent to the venue. At that time there will be a late-night taco bar. Guests are welcome to remain on the grounds, enjoying each other's company, as long as they remain relatively quiet. Please note that once the reception ends, there will no longer be bartender service, and guests will need to provide their own beverages.
Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
A 90-minute cocktail hour (and a half) will take place between the ceremony and reception where you can enjoy cocktails, mocktails, small bites, and lawn games.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
We kindly ask that you keep our wedding "unplugged" and refrain from taking any photos or videos during our wedding. We have hired two incredible photographers and a videographer to take care of this for us. We want our guests to truly be in the moment with us during this special day.
Can I post wedding photos on social media?
Once the wedding party has been introduced and we have had our first dance, guests are welcome to take photos. Please be sure to share all photos with us using the QR code posted throughout the venue and on programs. You are welcome to post photos to social media. Please use the hashtag #cheerstotheDeGeers
Do you have a wedding hashtag?
Yes! Our wedding hashtag is #CheerstotheDeGeers. It will also be posted around the venue for your convenience.
