We both grew up in Shawnee Oklahoma and went to St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, but attended different schools. Adam went to Bethel and AJ went to Meeker. We also played soccer for the same competitive program in Shawnee which is where our competitive friendship began (please ask us about how we officially met, it’s a great story). We quickly became best friends and started dating on February 17, 2016, which means we can say we are High School Sweethearts <3 However, going to two different high schools meant that the only times we really saw each other were at church, youth group, and soccer practice. Fun Fact: Our first date was to a For King and Country concert at the FireLake Arena where Adam’s parents got us front row seats… and Adam’s dad was also there as chaperone lol. Adam graduated from Bethel in 2018 and went to college while AJ graduated from Meeker in 2019, and we then both attended college at UCO in Edmond.

While in college, we both worked at OLOG Catholic Summer Camp from 2019-2022. Our time at camp created tons of new friendships that would turn into lifelong relationships, and taught us how to build our relationship on the foundation of Christ. Our time at Camp was where we were able to fall in love with the outdoors and nature together and we left with so many memories, life lessons, and stories to tell…

In college, AJ was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and Adam was a member of Beta Upsilon Chi Fraternity. Our time in Greek life also created tons of new lifelong relationships and gave us some of our best friends. In college, we would spend time at the BYX fraternity house where we played board games, sang karaoke, and had dance parties in the basement, along with trying all the restaurants in the city. AJ even won the BYX Crown and Chalice Award as a thank you for all she did for the fraternity and was given the title of honorary member and BYX mom. Adam also competed in Alpha Xi Deltas "Xi Man" competition in 2022. Fun Fact: We also spent a lot of time in the city trying all the new restaurants that Shawnee didn't have and we now consider ourselves avid foodies!

AJ graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Adam graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology: Exercise Fitness Management. AJ is currently in her resident year as a new graduate at OU Children’s Hospital in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse and Adam is pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at OKCU and will graduate in December of 2025. Fun Fact: Adam completely surprised AJ by proposing at her senior pictures in Scissortail Park in OKC just a few months before she graduated college.

Our plans for our future life together as the Drews include loving the newlywed season of life, possibly a short stint exploring the US as a travel PT and travel RN, exploring the places we talked about in high school (like the Philippines, South America, Europe, and an African Safari), building our own dream house someday, raising a bunch of kids and puppies, and living a happy life growing old together.
