Our Wedding

The bride and groom both came from toxic relationships. To them a love like this wasn’t possible. They started talking January 2023, getting to know each other better and basic flirting. As they got to know each other more, they were on FaceTime all the time. For her birthday trip, in July ,she decided to come down to Atlanta for a week. (His birthday was also during that week she was down there). He saw her tickets, her location and still didn’t believe she was coming until she was at his front door. After experiencing each other in person, they knew that it was meant to be. They made it official in September 2023 and have been inseparable ever since. The bride and groom have been making long distance work… take it from them it pays off in the long run.

I couldn’t possibly think of anyone better to be my maid of honor than my sister. We’ve always had each others backs. And even though I’m the oldest, she has her older sister moments when I need them. She is one of the strongest women I know. I couldn’t ask for a better sister, she’s my forever friend.

Jameela is my best friend, we didn’t become friends til the day of graduation. Which is crazy considering we were the very few black girls at our school. After going through a toxic friendship, she taught me what a genuine friend is.

Makenna was the first friend I had when I transferred highschools during quarantine. I had little to no friends. I’m so glad that I met her because she’s now a lifetime long friend. When I met her I was struggling through personal problems, and she was someone I could always turn to.

Tia and I go back to 7th grade, she’s probably one of my longest friendships. We don’t talk all the time, but she’s the easiest person to talk to. She has one of those presences that uplift you. She’s very goofy and is genuinely so fun to be around!

Kaylah has been there for me throughout all my relationships. I was able to leave a toxic relationship because of her, and now I get to have her by my side for the healthiest relationship I’ve ever had. She’s always been good to me and I’m grateful to have her as a friend.

Genna and I met through TikTok and anytime I needed a social media break she would take over my account so I didn’t lose any followers lol. She is honestly one of the nicest people I know, and her energy is contagious too. Her smile literally brightens up a room and her laugh can make your day.

Destiny was one of my unexpected friendships. I met her through Jameela, and got to know her more when we started working together. If I didn’t want to go to work, seeing her name on the shift made me feel better about going lol. She’s cool to hang out with outside of work and she is such a vibe. She’s a good listener and has given great advice.

I’ve known her since 7th grade. Boys and girls club was fun because of her. We didn’t say  ‘Best friend’ we called each other sobby. In our dictionary it meant more than a best friend. I have her to thank for really stepping out of my shell. We used to play just dance, make these YouTube videos that we never uploaded and now I’m an actual influencer. I was able to be my weird and genuine self around her.
