Isaac and Aaliyah’s story begins fresh out of high school in the summer of 2023. Aaliyah had just graduated that spring, and Isaac had graduated the year before. Aaliyah had grown close to Isaac’s sister, Anna, and went on a trip with their family to Bennet Springs at the start of that summer. She had no idea the sentimental spot Bennet Springs would become. During that trip, Isaac and Aaliyah started to bond while he showed her how to fish and some of his grandpa’s favorite fishing spots. They began to become friends and talk constantly to each other. After that trip, Aaliyah traveled the rest of the summer but still made it a priority to continue to talk to Isaac (who she thought was pretty cute) despite not seeing him. When she got back from all of her traveling expeditions, Isaac officially asked her on a date to a Royals game. Aaliyah was very excited and immediately responded “Yes!” At the game, they began to get to know each other even more and had fun exploring the stadium and watching the Royals win. That date marked the beginning of their relationship, and the rest is pretty much history. Bennet Springs, however, is still a special part of their relationship and is where Isaac proposed in the summer of 2025. You can imagine Aaliyah obviously said “YES!!” Since the beginning of their relationship, they both knew something special would come out of it. The Lord orchestrated every step and was intentional about each detail. It was truly perfect timing when these two kids met, and their love story will continue for many years to come..
