In The Beginning

Our Story began as some may say “a typical teenage love story”. We had some mutual friends but no real reasons to come into contact with each other. Ashton was a bit nervous to try and talk to Aaliyah but thanks to a friend they were able to break the ice at Manatee high school. A couple nervous words were spoken but they both knew that they wanted to get to know each other. Many conversations over the phone later and on April 11th, 2017 Ashton would ask Aaliyah to be his girlfriend close to where they originally met, ask permission to kiss her and “accidentally” slip the words “Love you” as they were leaving. Little did they both know how much those words would be true in the future.

Their first official date was out to the beach and over the next couple years they spent their time together doing your average Florida high school dating stuff; Beach outings, ice cream dates, fishing, paddleboarding & meeting up with friends at the local truck meetup spots. Along the way they would go on multiple family vacations and concerts together. They would learn that traveling was one of the many things that they love to do together.

THE PROPOSAL

After just over 6 years Ashton couldn’t wait any longer! With the help of some family and friends with set up, Ashton would take Aaliyah out on his boat to Egmont Key State Park for the big surprise! Aaliyah was under the impression that they were looking for fish for an upcoming tournament so this was the perfect cover up. Their love for the ocean & sunsets made it the perfect place for Aaliyah to say yes!

Everyday we like to live life to the fullest and make the most out it. We call it “Just Livin”. We appreciate yall for being here with us on our special day as we say “I Do”!
