This story begins like any other high school sweetheart movie, the girl likes the older boy and finally gets the courage to admit her feelings. The best ending, the guy feels the same way! Aaron and Maggie were not strangers in each other's lives, they've actually known each other since Aaron was in 2nd grade and Maggie was in 1st grade. It wasn't until they got selected for the Hutchinson High School Expressives choir together that things started to shift. Not only did Aaron and Maggie sing together in school but they also were very involved in the Crosspoint Youth group. After spending many hours singing at school, playing in the band, and worshipping at church together, Maggie knew her feelings for Aaron grew stronger than friendship. After months of late practice car rides, band competitions, and choir shows Maggie got the courage to tell Aaron her true feelings, no matter what. Of course, Maggie couldn't show up empty-handed, she gave a gift to Aaron and told him her feelings. The next thing Maggie knew, Aaron said “I feel the same way”. That was in 2018 and this couple has been going strong ever since. They both continued their education by attending Hutchinson Community College and then transferring to Kansas State after graduating. The couple has spent the last two years in Manhattan, together, going to school, and growing the strength of their relationship.

In July of 2024, Maggie invited Aaron to come on a family trip with close friends to South Padre Island, TX to see her family. After this invite, Aaron knew this was the perfect opportunity to propose to Maggie. He made the trip to Riddle's in Manhattan, then to Hutchinson to have dinner with Maggie's parents and ask their blessing. Maggie's parents were thrilled to hear about Aaron's plans and did everything in their power to make sure this surprise went off without a hitch. Once in South Padre, Maggie and Aaron were having a great time at the beach, spending time with family and friends. On the last night in South Padre, the family had planned to have a nice dinner and then head to a secluded beach for pictures. At this point, Aaron cannot feel his hands and Maggie is clueless that the love of her life is about to propose. Once at this secluded beach, Aaron and Maggie are walking toward the water and Aaron stops Maggie and says he has something he wants to ask. Aaron gets down on one knee and the rest is history. Maggie's family is so overcome with joy just like the happy couple. Maggie then turns to her family only to find that Aaron's family came to South Padre to surprise her! Both families of the happy couple are surrounding them on a beach, at sunset, and popping champagne. Their story is not ending, it's just a new chapter beginning!
