Our Wedding

Lindsay' View : Life has surely had it's ups and downs with some hard roads. I spent years praying for a man my heart craved. God heard every single word and prayer. He had a plan and stayed faithful. Last year after my stepsister (Dori)got married, she mentioned that Kevin, ( aka Pops/ her father-in-law) had someone he would like for me to meet whenever I was ready. I was VERY hesitant and just not ready, mostly it was fear talking. Funny side note, Aaron was at their wedding! I never saw or knew anything about him at the time. After talking to my sister and asking questions, I agreed to let them talk to Aaron further and give him my phone number if he was interested. Aaron didn't wait long to message me and after spending a few days chatting, we set up our first date! We decided to meet at Severson Dells Forest Preserve. I was completely nervous and felt so intimidated by him. His life sounded so exciting and he has done so much. I had the best time and enjoyed talking with him. He had the sweetest smile and the best stories. I was captivated. We spent 5 hours in the park just walking around and talking. I thought for sure I would never hear from him again. I was very wrong. We had more dates and enjoyed spending time together. I will never forget the day God showed me Aaron was meant for me. It brought me to tears, because Aaron was repeating words I used in my prayers talking to God about what my heart desired. Aaron is an answered prayer. It's overwhelming but I couldn't be more grateful to God and his faithfulness. It's been such a joy watching it all slowly unfold. Saying yes, was the best decision of my life. I like to tease Aaron, telling him he took so long to find me because he's bad with directions and wasn't using the GPS 😉.

Aaron's View : I definitely took notice of Lindsay at her stepsisters wedding. She looked stunning that night, and I was nervous to talk to someone who seemed so out of my league. I was stunned when a few days later, Kevin (a family friend) suggested that Lindsay and I would make a great couple. I was excited the day Lindsay gave permission for me to have her number. That first night we messaged each other showed how sweet, light hearted, and sincere she was as a person. Our first date I couldn’t talk to her enough, and I spent hours with her as we both chose trails that would delay our goodbyes that night. The moment I truly felt how special she was, was when we stopped on a bridge and just sat with our legs hanging over the edge laughing and exchanging glances. I have never felt so comfortable and natural with anyone than I did in that moment and I couldn’t wait to see her again.&nbsp; I was excited as well to meet Samson and Autumn for the first time, and I was touched by how quickly we bonded. After spending an afternoon at Edwards Orchard meeting them, they campaigned Lindsay to let me come in to play LEGOS and again as it got late to stay longer and have dinner with them. I love how creative they are especially at night when the kids and I tell each other stories about Strawberry Potatoes (imagine a homegrown Dr Suess story).&nbsp; I am thankful for the lives we have made together. I am thankful for the day she said yes. I will be thankful for every day together when we say “I do”.

Samson is Lindsay's son and Aaron's right hand man. Samson is 9 years old , soon to turn 10, July 6th. The sweetest little boy and the best Entertainer. Always there to lend a hand and is eager to learn new things. Samson is a smart cookie. We are grateful to have little man stand with us on our special day and make sure Aaron doesn't get lost 😆

Autumn is Lindsay's daughter. Autumn is 7 years old, soon to turn 8, June 8th ( 🌟 Golden Birthday 🌟). Autumn is resilient and loves to march to beat of her own drum. It's inspiring.  She is spunky, sweet and overall an amazing kid. We are grateful to have kitty girl by our side on our special day.
