If we had to describe our beginning, it would be the setting of a soppy romcom—cue the soft lighting and a quirky soundtrack. It all started on a random Tuesday morning at the kraal area of NMU: a chance encounter that sparked what would become an unforgettable adventure. Aaron would say we fit together like two puzzle pieces. Lucresha might describe us as “opposites finding common ground in the most comfortable of places.” And from that moment on—12 July 2016—our days were filled with meetups, laughter, and navigating the packed corridors of campus between mid-semester tests. As weeks turned into months and months into a year of joy and discovery, one milestone stands out: on 28 October 2017, Aaron took his very first train ride to Uitenhage to meet Lucresha’s parents. That same date, six years later, would become the day he proposed. Now, here we are—ready to begin a new chapter. A new lineage. A new sentence in the book of life. We’re beyond excited to share this pivotal moment with you.

Our Story

When I think about lifelong friendship, there’s one name that’s etched into every memory—Vincent. We met in primary school. From doing homework in the boys' bathroom on a Monday morning to getting wasted on the beach, we grew up side by side, each adventure stitching our bond tighter.He was the first person to teach me loyalty without saying a word—always showing up, always standing up. From that first wingman experience to the awkward teenage years, and all the way to this incredible new chapter in my life—he’s been there. He knows my quirks, my questionable haircut phases, and the dream I have now of building a life with Lucresha.Choosing him as my best man wasn’t even a decision. It’s just what you do when your best friend has been part of your life’s story from the very first chapter.
