Aaron and Tanisha’s love story began long before they ever imagined saying “I do.” Twenty years ago, on September 2, 2005, their paths first crossed at a local bar in Douglasville, Georgia. Aaron was behind the bar, Tanisha was a patron, and from the very first moment, there was an undeniable connection. What they didn’t know then was that this night would change far more than just their own lives. That same evening, Tanisha and her best friend Darlyn—friends since they were 15—met two brothers, Aaron and James. Two best friends met two brothers on the same day, unknowingly setting the foundation for a story that would come full circle 20 years later.

Though life kept Aaron and Tanisha on separate paths, fate ensured their stories continued to intertwine through random run-ins across the city over the next seven years. In 2013, the timing finally aligned, and they began their journey together. Tanisha quickly knew Aaron was her forever, but their love would be shaped and strengthened through real-life lessons.

Over the next six years, they experienced both joy and hardship, including the unimaginable loss of Tanisha’s oldest son. As they learned to navigate grief and life’s challenges, their relationship eventually led to a separation. Yet even in the distance, God was still at work—refining, strengthening, and preparing them both for what was to come.

After four years apart, Aaron made his intentions clear on February 26, 2023, never missing a day to remind Tanisha that she was his future. On July 4, 2025, surrounded by family, he proudly declared his love and officially proposed. She said yes.

Today, Aaron and Tanisha share a beautiful blended family filled with love, laughter, and purpose. Their story is made even sweeter knowing that Tanisha’s best friend Darlyn married Aaron’s brother James in 2020—two besties, two brothers, all living in Douglasville, exactly where it all began. They cherish time with family and friends, find joy in helping others be their best selves, and remain committed to respect, trust, and kindness—always making their relationship a priority.
