It's funny when we look at this picture and say, This is where we started. A blurry photo of two friends from 2015. It's not the Aquatic Center setting or the sheer randomness of the photo that makes it though, but rather the comedic, blatant truth it tells - that the most important people could be placed in our lives... and we just don’t know it yet. Fast forward 8 years from those awkward highschool teammates who never confessed their feelings for each other (smh) to a long overdue catch-up with friends over Mexican food and Margharitas... we haven't stopped talking ever since. It really was that simple. Simple in the sense of how clear everything became, how happy and giddy we were and are over the smallest things the other does. The excitement when we told our families, the friends who got so pumped and said, “I knew y'all would end up together” and the change everyone saw in both of us as individuals. There have been countless conversations, most importantly laughs, and too many stories to recount on this page. Needless to say, it's been the greatest adventure of our lives. Not that the adventure didn't come with trials along the way -- fighting for our relationship through a long-distance period which, for anyone who has had long distance experience knows, it is a fight. A fight for each other and for a person you know is too important to give up, someone you'd never want to lose. And that's how we've always felt. Determined, patient, and confident in us and in the future, more confident than we probably realized on any given day. And that fight brought us to so much more than we could have imagined for ourselves; The start of our lives together here in Indiana and sharing the day moment for moment. To new friends, early morning post-gym breakfasts and a million walks together with Charlotte. All of this, the daily, small highlights most of all, that we never take for granted. Because we will always have that love and fight for each other, an appreciation for the little things, knowing what life was like without them. So you could say we're best friends to lovers, a long-distance relationship success, a teammate couple, highschool crushes to lifelong partners. All of those lines are technically true. But the best part is it's only the beginning. And we cannot comprehend how blessed we've been not only to find each other again, but to all of you surrounding us, supporting us long before that ‘This is where we started’ moment. Thank you to all of you who have been with us, have loved us and have seen us at our best and our worst. For the memories you've shared with us and for all those we will in the future. We thank God everyday for you all and are so excited to share in this next big adventure with you. Thank you for being a part of our story. It's only the beginning.
