Once upon a time...

The Rode and Jack families decided to take a cruise to the Caribbean, totally unaware of the story book love story about to unfold.

Naomi and Aaron met for the first time as high schoolers on that cruise in 2016. They instantly felt a spark and were inseparable through the entire cruise. They spent every day hanging out with friends they made together and exploring the ship with one another.

When it came time for the cruise to end, Naomi and Aaron kept their friendship going. They talked every day, until the distance finally made them drift apart. They talked every year or two, catching up on what had developed in each other's lives.

Once, when it was time for them to catch up again, something was different. Both had changed. They had grown, and they were in a different part of life than they had ever been before. This time, when they were catching up, they never stopped talking. They started growing closer together as friends again and became a support system for each other.

It wasn't long before Aaron decided to make good on his promise he made 7 years ago, to come and visit Naomi in North Carolina. They hit it off immediately and decided that things were right in their relationship to start dating. Very quickly, long distance made the couple communicate, and their relationship grew deep from the many conversations they had on every topic they could imagine. Before you knew it, they knew everything about each other as if they had been dating for the last 7 years and had never been separated by that distance.

With love in his heart, Aaron decided to get on one knee.
