Santa Fe is 7,000 feet above sea level (1,700 feet higher than Denver), so it does not get as hot as other southwestern cities (average daytime highs around 85 and nighttime lows in the 60s). Due to the high desert climate, it is very easy to get dehydrated. DRINK LOTS OF WATER! Higher altitude also means less distance between you and the sun, so make sure to wear sunscreen. Lastly, keep in mind that 2-3 alcoholic drinks at a high altitude can have the equivalent effect of 4-5 drinks at sea level.

While little ones can bring out a lot of smiles, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event.
