On one random evening in November, Jordan Storvik downloaded Tinder on a whim and was continuously swiping left on a bunch of losers when she came across a handsome face, it may have been Aaron Willson or it could’ve been the dog in the photo (Aegon). She gave him a super like! (Yay)
The next morning she woke to a message on tinder from Aaron and they started talking and they instantly connected. They talked all day every day for 3 days, they exchanged phone numbers and Aaron asked Jordan out for a date!
They made many plans to go on dates but family kept coming first and Jordan kept cancelling on Aaron. Aaron was ready to give up and asked his family for advice and they told him to stick it out(thank goodness), it might take some time.
Patience is key! Because on December 5th they finally got their date! Jordan and Aaron met up at their local Dairy Queen (in -30 weather). Aaron was sitting there waiting for his date in all plaid, Jordan walks in and Aaron gives her the good ol’ finger gun salute, they got ice cream and talked and got to know one and another. Then Aaron suggested on a change of scenery, which was going for a walk in the freezing cold around Mirror Lake. After freezing but not wanting to tell the other person they’re cold, they go to Starbucks and get a hot chocolate, one because they are cold and two, because one of Jordans coworkers begged her to bring Aaron by so she could scope him out. He passed the test apparently.
He then offered to drive Jordan home, as Aaron was taking Jordan home and she’s giving him directions, he’s thinking “is she taking me to my place? Does she know where I live?” Turns out they were only 2 blocks away from each other. He asks her if he can kiss her good night, she accepts.
Since that cold night in December 2018, the two have been inseparable. They rented their first house together, grew together, became one another’s best friend, expanded their family with Sophie the cat, got through the pandemic stronger, dealt with heartbreak and all the good times in between.
