Abagail and Henry first met in 2015 when Henry was in 7th grade and Abagail was in 6th. They got to know each other through long cross-country and track practices, as well as being percussionists in middle school band. Throughout high school, their paths continued to cross in similar ways, again in cross-country and band class. After countless awkward conversations, from the beaches of Hawaii to band concerts, a small push led them to their first dance together at prom in 2019. Shortly after, on April 22nd (or 23rd, depending on who you ask), they started dating. After Henry graduated in 2021, Abagail and Henry faced one of the biggest challenges a relationship can endure: long distance. Despite the challenge, they both agreed they liked each other enough to make it work. They said their final hugs and kisses goodbye before Henry moved to Rapid City, South Dakota. A year later, Abagail graduated and moved to Platteville, Wisconsin. With 700 miles now between them, they had three and a half years to go. Abagail and Henry made the most of the time they had together. They explored cities like Milwaukee, WI; Galena, IL; Kankakee, IL; and Indianapolis, IN. On June 5th, 2024, in Indianapolis, Henry proposed to Abagail on a bridge in Garfield Park, doing what they love best, being with each other. As time has shown, 700 miles, time zones, and four and a half years of college couldn’t keep these two apart. They are thrilled to be able to celebrate their love with you.
