Not many people know that our story actually began over 5 years ago. Around 2018 I was living with my brother, Blake in our childhood home. I had seen Nathaniel in passing as he would come over to hang out with blake and his buddies. I dont even think we said more than three words to each other.. It wasn’t until the Covid lockdown a couple years later when I found myself hanging out in my living room with all of my brothers friends, one of them being Nate.
Months after that, we all decided to do an outdoor kickball team on an adult sports league during the Fall of 2020. Fun facts: We lost every game except for one and we even have a photo of us after our last game together. However, we still didn’t talk much.
It wasnt until a night out in December 2021 where we found each other within a group of friends. That evening I taught him a sideline defense cheer, he taught me how to play pool and we hit it off! The following night he asked me out to go bowling but I was in a bit of a sticky situation as Nate was my brothers friend.. but I got the thumbs up from Blake and that night ended with a kiss on the sidewalk outside of Harveys Bar. After that, the rest is history!
I giggle at the amount of times we had crossed paths, played games together and exchanged hellos & goodbyes before realizing we were meant to be. It just goes to show that sometimes, good things take time!
