Alex and Abbi met as freshmen at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago in 2020. They met their first day of orientation when Alex introduced himself and kept asking for help with the game the class was playing. The next day he got Abbi's phone number to "finish telling her about local coffee shops she might enjoy going to", however, the first time he asked her out, she turned him down. He didn't let that stop him! He kept showing up and hanging out with her floor and friend group until he became a staple member of the group and it wasn't the same without him around. They started dating a month later and the rest is history! They knew God brought the perfect mate into their lives to serve Him with and decided they didn't want to go through life without the other person. On June 13th Alex proposed in their special city of Chicago. He took her to the Chicago Botanic Garden and unbeknownst to Abbi; her older sister, Makenzie, and Alex's younger brother Drew, were there, hiding out in the bushes. It was a special day recounting their memories and of their time spent in Chicago. Alex and Abbi are now attending Liberty University Online attaining their Christian Leadership and Management, and Applied Ministry degrees. The two hope to serve the Lord on the mission field in the near future.
