Abbie and Joe's story began in the Johnston school system, where they knew of each other but aren't entirely sure if they ever formally met. However, a glimpse into their early connection exists in the form of Joe's photo-bomb of Abbie and her friends at a high school football game.

Abbie and Joe's connection sparked when Joe reached out to her on Instagram. After a two-week pause on Abbie's part, she finally agreed to a first date. They met up at Pour Choices in Grimes, and from that moment on, they've been inseparable.

Abbie's accomplishment of finishing grad school was made even better by Joe's amazing support.

Joe proudly graduated from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy! It was a challenging journey, and Abbie was his constant source of encouragement and support throughout.

Shortly after Joe's academy graduation, Abbie and Joe embarked on the exciting adventure of house hunting. After a few months of searching, they found their perfect little home in Pleasant Hill. It's been a labor of love with renovations, but they're happily turning it into their dream home.

Abbie's favorite day, Christmas Eve, became even more magical! Remembering her beloved childhood tradition of looking at Christmas lights, Joe chose the "Miracle on 86th St." to propose. With Abbie's whole family there and a photographer ready, it was perfect.
