What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
Yes, the dress code is semi-formal. We recommend slacks with a button-down and tie & modest dresses or blouse with skirt or slacks. No jeans please! Additionally, the ceremony space is grassy and rocky, so rethink stilettos!
Are there any colors we should avoid wearing?
We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, and creams. If you have to ask "Is this too white?" the answer is most likely yes.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
Well it's Michigan where there could be snow, rain, and 80 degree weather in one day! Naturally we hope for sun, but hey, they say it's good luck for it to rain on your wedding day, so bring an umbrella just in case!
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be mainly indoors.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the bride and groom will take photos with immediate family then go off with their photographer for a private session. During this time cocktails and popcorn will be provided in the reception hall along with outdoor games in the parking lot!
How do I get to the venue?
Our venue is "The Golden Glow Ballroom" located at 2950 S Graham Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609
It is kinda in the middle of nowhere so don't fret if you're driving through long strips of farm land or nature
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE CEREMONY? AT THE RECEPTION?
The ceremony starts at 4:00 so please arrive by 3:30. If you plan to leave between the ceremony and reception, please return by 5:45 as the reception starts at 6:00.
Can I take photos and videos during the ceremony?
We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones and cameras are put away and turned to silent/off during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer to capture some of the most important moments of our lives and we'd hate to have a person's phone or camera blocking that moment for our photographer to capture. Before and after but not during the ceremony and exit, please feel free to take as many photos as you want and share them with us!
What time does the reception end?
We hope you'll stay and celebrate with us until 10:45 pm!
How does seating work?
The ceremony will be open seating so sit wherever you please. Facing the front, the groom will be on the right and the bride on the left, so sit oppositely if you'd like to see his or her face more clearly.
For the reception, we will be carefully arranging tables so our guests are sat with those they know (or their plus one or partner).
WHERE SHOULD GUESTS PARK? IS PARKING FREE?
There is a free parking lot on site.
CAN I BRING MY GIFT TO THE WEDDING?
Yes! We will have a table for gifts and a box for cards.
Can I bring a date?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate the guests that are included on your invitation. If you received a plus one, they will be listed on your invite by name. When you go to RSVP, you will be able to see the exact number of people you can RSVP for.
WHEN IS THE RSVP DEADLINE? DO I NEED TO MAIL BACK MY RSVP OR CAN I DO IT ONLINE?
RSVP by April 21st, 2024. Please RSVP online! If you have any issues with the online RSVP please contact the bride or groom.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I CAN’T MAKE IT?
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
ARE MY KIDS ALLOWED?
Due to limited numbers, we hope you understand that our wedding will be kid free besides those participating in the wedding.
WILL FOOD AND DRINKS BE SERVED AT THE RECEPTION? WHAT KIND OF FOOD?
We will have a buffet style dinner. There is a beef option and vegetarian option for entree. Potatoes, green beans, and broccoli for sides. And salads with assorted dressings. Drinks are available at the bar!
WILL THERE BE ANY VEGAN/VEGETARIAN/GLUTEN FREE/SPECIAL DIET OPTIONS?
There is a vegetarian option for dinner! If you have any other sort of accommodations please let the bride and groom know via RSVP.
I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS/ALLERGIES. WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO LET YOU KNOW?
Please let us know when you RSVP so that we can arrange something for you.

Why, but of course! The bar will be open 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm. There will be assorted liquors as well as two beer and two wine options.
MAY I TAKE A CENTERPIECE/CANDLE/FLOWERS HOME AS A SOUVENIR?

CAN I TAKE AND POST PICTURES OF THE WEDDING ON SOCIAL MEDIA?
Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #GainingAGardner so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
We will also have a photo app which works like a disposable camera and doesn't require you to download an app! Please consider using this feature so all your lovely pictures will be in one place for us!
